They have thrown away many matches which looked in their grasp at the last instant while they have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in several occasions too. The year 2007 is a perfect example of how unpredictable Pakistan cricket and their cricketers are. After crashing out of the World cup in the first round courtesy a shocking loss to Ireland, they roared back into form with some splendid showing in the ICC 20-20 championships only to lose narrowly to India in the finals.However,the last two months has seen Pakistan cricket move the wrong side of progress. They lost the one-day series to South Africa at home and India away 3-2 and the state of Pakistan test cricket isn't that great either as they lost home and away 1-0 to both South Africa and India. However, the side is still not short of potential and a mixture of youthful fast bowlers coupled with some aggressive hitters on top of the order should see Pakistan cricket through to much more brighter times.
